Auto-Graphics Announces Development of eContent Discovery Platform

POMONA, CA. — June 20, 2012 — Auto-Graphics, Inc., a leading provider of tools, technologies and services that enable libraries to provide personalized access to physical and digital collections anytime, anywhere, today announced the development of its eContent discovery platform. Key features will be added to improve Auto-Graphics’ entire product line including its VERSO™ Library Management Platform, SHAREit™ interlibrary loan and consortial borrowing solution and its SEARCHit™ federated search solution. Enhancements to the product line include a dynamic FRBR inspired clustered results set, increased control through a digital rights management facility, Z39.50 enhancements and seamless access to third party technologies through a newly designed interface developed using the HTML5 standard.

All of Auto-Graphics’ customers will benefit from the product expansion once the eContent discovery platform is fully developed. Among those customers is the Kansas State Library which will utilize the eContent discovery platform through their deployment of SHAREit. New enhancements will help to facilitate the next stage in evolution by providing an elegant central point of access to all available resources including physical items and eContent within the State.

Central to the strategy is the seamless integration with best of breed third party content and service providers. Kansas will be using SHAREit to implement ChiliFresh’s Connections social networking platform. ChiliFresh’s Connections will integrate with the Kansas State Library catalog and facilitate the connection of patrons worldwide based on their literary interest and habits through popular social networking platforms like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
