Agent Information Software, Inc. (AIS) (OTC:AIFS), today reported a net income of $145,353 for the three quarters ending September 30, 2016, up $98,619 over the same three quarters in 2015. The net income was higher than the forecast for the first three quarters of the year by $54,100. Net sales for the three quarters ending September 30, 2016 were $3,558,563, which met the forecast and were down $22,796 or 0.6% from $3,581,359 for the same period last year, due to the decrease of non-recurring revenues.
As an innovator in providing library solutions via the SaaS model, the Company continues to build on the success of their core products, SHAREit™ and VERSO™, as well as looking at new opportunities. A new Patron mobile application is in the works; which will augment the fully responsive staff functionality of the complete family of library services platform. The plan is for full implementation of the new patron application and release during the fourth quarter of 2016. MONTAGEdc™, A-G’s new digital collection management software, continues to gain traction with a new, and exciting user interface, which will be rolled out in the remaining weeks of 2016. Both of the new products will be heavily demonstrated in January 2017, at the American Library Association’s Mid-Winter trade show in Atlanta, GA.
As noted in the Company’s first quarter press release recapping 2015, the Company was successful with the award of two new SHAREit statewide resource-sharing solutions for South Dakota and Indiana. Both states are live and running flawlessly. Another state, the Company’s fourteenth, recently selected SHAREit and will go live early Q1 of 2017. The total number of consortia utilizing SHAREit and SEARCHit, is up to sixteen with more on the horizon. The Company remains upbeat as more states have inquired about the development of resource sharing initiatives that would commence in 2017.
Clearly, the Company continues to focus providing statewide resource sharing systems that address the complex needs of organizations across North America. These include user diversity, technology, and types/number of libraries. Further, the Company’s leadership role in patron centric (NCIP) systems provides unique differences not addressed in competitive systems.
